I don't know when it was that I came across the first nude or sexualized pictures of guys in boxing gear, but I can tell you I had been waiting for it A LONG TIME. I was still young and very immature back when I was just starting to emancipate myself (I grew up in a small town and being Out wasn't something people did, so I was only barely sexually active at that time- even though I was about 19 and just getting out of high school). Before the internet, engaging my sexual interests rested entirely on movie scenes that showed a little skin, and television. I gravitated toward WWF/WCW wrestling programs pretty early on. Probably at first because they showed huge, steamingly hot, muscled men in skimpy speedo-briefs (Alex Wright, Norman Smiley, Chavo Guerrero Jr., Razor Ramon, Mike Sanders, Salvatore Sincere, Ken Shamrock), insanely tight pants/leggings ("Disco Inferno," Bart Gunn, Brian Christopher, Billy Kidman), or flat-out kinky gear like black leather (Diesel), Native American garb (Tatanka), or colorful, body-clinging singlets (Bob Holly, Jeff Jarrett). And, of course, the megastars of the late 90's: "The Rock" (we called him Rocky Maivia back then) and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. (Formerly, before the mustache, known as "The Ringmaster" ... and he used to wear green briefs and a huge $$$ belt- it was hot as hell!) And, yes, I remember a lot of these guys years later- I had to worship them (their hot bodies, that is- the storyline drama of the "live" shows never applied to me) growing up a loner.
Anyway, my personal fetish was always strongest with boxing. I indulged in wrestling because that's what was On. It was huge in the 90's and thrived in small towns. So when I finally got the internet, I had to thank the BG East's and Can-Am's as wrestling "erotica" companies because they were the ones starting to incorporate boxing into wrestling action- the best of all worlds. You get the ring, the guys in tight, skimpy "trunks," and the world's most primal socialized man-to-man sport of the 20th century. Cutting out the fat you don't want (audiences, women carrying Round Cards, too many rules). Of course, with so much time passing from 2000 to 2015, I wish I could say more has changed in adult video. Almost all gay porn outlets put their guys in the gloves, but they take them off 45 seconds or a couple minutes into the video and that's all you get. That is definitely not erotic. It's a tease. You can see hundreds of thousands of videos of guys going right into the cocksucking and ass-pounding. Videos featuring storylines and really indulging in fantasies is still rare. To the point where internet adult stars who perform in sports-related videos and have their own fetish for boxing is rare.
But... is it unheard of? Not exactly. At BG East, several of their performers brought boxing back in subsequent appearances. Kid Vicious did it more than once. Barry Longshaw did it more than once. Vinny Trevino did it more than once. And none of these 3 guys performed with each other more than once. So... it's a start. But... a performer who actually participates in boxing fetish videos across different companies? ... That is so rare as to ne'er be seen before (please correct me if I'm wrong).
That is: before Ethan Andrews.
(Or 'Axel' Ethan Andrews. The Axel being in some cases a middle name, others a primary nickname'd handle.)
After a time primarily being known on the gay adult video 'scene' as a wrestler, particularly a performer for the almost nevernude UCW company (which I do recommend people check out as many of their stars have a preference for humiliation tactic bouts and low blows), Andrews began appearing in BG East matches and Rock Hard Wrestling videos. Basically, the genie was out of the bottle and there was no way to put Axel back in. Now he performs any and every-where he wants, pal'ing around with the likes of Jonny Firestorm and Cameron Matthews on their own sites. Maybe one day, he'll have his own. The guy is clearly sweet and endlessly charismatic... and his sizeable bulge stands out (that always helps) when he's really into the action (which is often). And, since it keeps popping up in the videos he's in, the guy has a thing for boxing.
On Cameron Matthews' site, vs. Z-Man (Zack Jonathan) and "Dr. X" (not sure)
Rock Hard Wrestling, vs. Colt Stevens
And... who could forget his classic bout for BG East against Lorenzo "Jake" Lowe? I couldn't. A couple years ago, I started mounting a tribute for it. There's about half of it done, sans text description which is unfinished.
